Brett Ormrod
Net Zero Carbon Lead for Europe

Brett Ormrod is the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Lead for Europe, and is responsible for providing technical guidance in the development and delivery of asset-level NZC pathways. He led the roll-out of over 220 NZC audits by a select panel of NZC consultants across £20bn of direct real estate, establishing existing asset energy performance and providing a detailed set of costed asset-specific energy conservation measures. He is involved in a number of cross-industry working groups (WG), including co-chairing the Better Building Partnership’s Investor Engagement WG, and both the GRESB NZC WG and UK NZC Building Standard WG. Brett is a Chartered Engineer through the Chartered Institute for Building Service Engineers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and a Masters in Philosophy in Sustainable Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

With over a decade of experience, Jeff has successfully delivered ESG strategies for some of the world's largest real estate investors and played a pivotal role in designing award-winning green buildings in the UK. Committed to fostering sustainability and innovation, he actively contributes to driving positive change within the real estate sector, championing a transition towards more sustainable practices. Jeff holds an MBA from Cambridge Judge Business School and an MSc from Western University Canada.
